of a single-line diagram is all it takes to trigger a cloud-based static power flow study for preliminary analysis.

Automated Power Flow Analysis
The findings in three sentences.
- 01
Most preliminary studies follow the same steps every time. The steps are the product, not the solver.
- 02
The diagram reader is the hardest part to get right and the most valuable when it is.
- 03
Engineers adopted it fastest when it was positioned as clearing their queue, not replacing their judgement.
Client problem
What wasn't working.
- Preliminary power flow studies queue behind a small team of planning engineers with specialist software licences.
- Building the study case from a single-line diagram is slow, manual and easy to get wrong.
- Requests for early screening, such as new connections or load additions, wait in line with full studies.
Dviz solution
What we built.
- Built an agentic workflow on Sorgi: one agent reads the single-line diagram, another builds the network case, a third runs a static simulation in the cloud.
- Results come back as a preliminary report with bus voltages, loading and violations highlighted.
- A planning engineer reviews and approves every result before it is used in a decision.
- Full studies still go through the planning team. The workflow clears the preliminary queue in front of them.
A working sketch of the system, with placeholder data.
Delivered on Sorgi
How the platform carried it.
- Multi-agent workflow orchestration with a human approval checkpoint.
- Runs inside the utility's own cloud tenant.
- Every run recorded with its inputs, model version and reviewer.
